Episode Six- Jodi Murphy

In this interview, I spoke with Jodi Murphy, a bay area mother who, inspired by the joys and challenges of raising a son with autism, has become a leader in the field of autism advocacy. In the conversation, we talked about some of the myths and facts about autism, discussed the importance of encouraging self-acceptance in all children, and highlighted some of the amazing work that Jodi, as well as other entrepreneurial moms, are doing. Jodi is the founder of the non-profit, Geek Club Books, as well as the organizer for the Mighty League Moms community group. Also featured in this interview was a clip of Jonathan Murphy and songs by A Million Creatures and Andy Z. This interview originally aired on KALX Berkeley 90.7 FM on April 19th, 2014.
